1. Keep the entry, stairways and halls free of clutter. Consider repainting these areas (choose light, neutral colours for greatest appeal).

2. Add trim or molding to the living/dining rooms, and the foyers.

3. Replace screens if they are rusted or torn

4. Add charm with flowers.

5. An entryway with well placed, large, potted plants, enhances the initial impression.

6. Rid driveway of grease stains with kitty litter or chemical solvent

7. Pick up all pet droppings and debris

8. Tidy the garage to show off its size

9. Consider replacing carpet if it is worn, dirty, outdated or an unusual colour

10. Repair any leaking or dripping taps in the kitchen or baths.

12. Clean out and brighten (paint if needed) the basement to enhance space
